Business Applications Solutions

We are developing softwares to be used for everyday business computing for the small and medium sized companies.  These applications are scalable enough to meet the increasing needs of the end users. As of today, we have developed applications for inventory tracking and lease management systems wherein its functionality requirements are designed for retail, real estate, property rentals or rent-to-owned businesses.

ASCEND Business Portal

ASCEND business portal is the repository of web-based applications developed by ASCPA for the exclusive use of the office and its clients.  The end users are provided with the workspace to input data, study and research, collaborate with the team members of the engagement and process schedules and reports.  Access to the portal is restricted according to the rights granted by ASCPA to the end user.

The Need for Accessibility and Control of Information

Flowing data across the wire makes business information easier to access anytime anywhere.  This is ASCPA's bold move to utilize the internet as our tool of bringing work outside the office.  We can work with our clients from remote locations with documents and worksheets readily available for discussion as if we are just beside the clients talking to them.

When end users are about to work at the field or from home, pulling out files from the cabinets before leaving the office are sometimes unnecessary.  Just turn on the computer and hook up to the server, the data are just right there.  When the team gets bigger, close coordination and control of information is important.  Each member of the team relies on the work of the other members.  When the work becomes more complex, documentation in considerable detail is demanded.  Confusion usually takes place when the team holds different data, moreso when the communication is not timely coordinated among the members of the team.  Control of information is even more challenging when the work and decision making are highly decentralized in its size and form.  Control of information is necessary to ensure that the organization has one set of verifiable data.  This is one of the reasons why multinational companies invest heavily on ERP technology to centralize the processing of data from various business processes to gain control of information on a real time basis.  The ability to process information at the earliest time possible is the competitive advantage of the company.  When systemic activities are automated right, the changes of human errors are lessened.

With the use of open source technology, we can develop applications that can process business data through the internet just like other proprietary applications.  It is not a secret since it is being done by multinational companies, particularly the BPOs and IT consulting firms, to have hub meetings with participants and the documents are readily accessible from the remote servers.  It will take time but it's worth the try.

Applications Under Development

We're looking at a window of 24 months to build the essential modules to link with the administration module.  In a piece-to-piece basis, we will deploy this applications to the portal.

The applications being developed are designed for the small and medium scale enterprises.  We are currently working with the manpower requirements to boost our development efforts to complete the remaining business applications for the next twenty four months.  We already have the design and the programming language to be used for these applications.  We are also recoding our applications that were developed under Visual Basic and Microsoft Access.  Once the business application is developed, it will undergo a series of testing before it will be deployed for beta testing.  As soon as the application is reasonably free from bugs, we will advise our clients that this application is now ready to use.  To date, ASCPA has the following applications under observation:

  1. Help Desk (Beta)
  2. E-Learn (Beta)
  3. Inventrax (Beta)
  4. Payroll (Done)
  5. General Ledger (In progress)
  6. Asset Management System (In progress)
  7. Audit Management System (In progress)
